Tinley Park Sharks

TPSC Team Information
 

Shark Bytes is the Web Site of the Tinley Park "Sharks" Swim Club (TPSC). TPSC is a competitive swim team for children ages 6 to 18. We practice at the Tinley Park High School on 175th Street, 1/4 mile east of Ridgeland Avenue in beautiful Tinley Park, Illinois.

TPSC is NOT a learn to swim program. Swimmers must be able to swim the length of the pool (25 yards) nonstop. Children are taught each stroke for competitive swimming and need to be willing to work hard on perfecting their strokes.

Each member of The Sharks is required to become a USA Swimming member at registration. TPSC is a USA Swimming Team where extra, optional, swim meets are offered on some weekends. The list of ISI/USA meets, TPSC will participate in, is posted in the "USA Meets" section on the main page.

The Tinley Park Sharks usually swim in the Gold or Blue Division. There are four divisions - Gold, Blue, Red and White - in our league with approximately 6 teams in each division. Out of those four divisions, the Gold Division is the highest and most competitive. This means we are swimming against some of the best swimmers in the area.
